Mohammed Zafarullah Farukhi

Mr. Zafarullah is a seasoned executive with an extensive background in the energy sector, boasting over three decades of experience with industry giants. His career commenced in June 1969 with Cooper Bessemer, a prominent manufacturer and supplier of gas engines, compressors, and power generation equipment. Over his 30+ year tenure with Cooper, he undertook assignments in multiple countries, including the USA, Canada, Kuwait, the UK, and the UAE.

Mr. Zafarullah’s rise through the ranks culminated in his appointment as Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa in 1979, based in Dubai. He spent seven years in the USA before relocating overseas, gaining invaluable experience in Cooper’s International/Domestic Sales Engineering Support Department and Corporate Planning (Houston/Mt. Vernon).

In October 1999, when Cooper Industries sold its Cooper Gas Turbine Rotating Division to Rolls Royce Plc., Mr. Zafarullah was recognized as a strategic asset and transferred to the newly formed Rolls Royce Energy Systems Inc. in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. In November 1999, he was appointed Regional Director for the Middle East and Central Asia for RR Energy Systems Inc., a division of Rolls Royce Plc., continuing his impactful career in Dubai.

In 2014, following Rolls Royce Plc.’s divestiture of its energy business to Siemens LLC, Mr. Zafarullah transitioned to Siemens LLC. In 2015, he was appointed Vice President of Special Projects for Siemens LLC’s Power & Gas division in the MENA Region, a role he held until his retirement on November 30, 2017.
